You could encounter
sharks all year long, but especially during summer months (June, July, August)
by diving on the "Sharks Land" near Beirut
You could encounter several species of sharks (see the list bellow), but
the most present seems to be Angel sharks,
Greynurse sharks and Smalltooth sandtiger sharks.
Greynurse sharks and Smalltooth sandtiger sharks are very similar, however
there are some points which differentiate them and makes it possible to recognize
them, as shown in the image above. In addition to these differences, the
Smalltooth sandtiger appears at
during the night, whereas the Greynurse shark
appears rather during the day.
