SHARKS IN LEBANON

You could encounter sharks all year long, but especially during summer months (June, July, August) by diving on the "Sharks Land" near Beirut
You could encounter several species of sharks (see the list bellow), but the most present seems to be Angel sharks, Greynurse sharks and Smalltooth sandtiger sharks.
Greynurse sharks and Smalltooth sandtiger sharks are very similar, however there are some points which differentiate them and makes it possible to recognize them, as shown in the image above. In addition to these differences, the Smalltooth sandtiger appears at during the night, whereas the Greynurse shark appears rather during the day.
Diving with sharks could be dangerous, thus you could find on this site some tips to dive in the company of sharks (written by Richard Martin)
You could also find short description of sharks that a diver might encounter in Lebanon. (See bellow)
